Before you go to Citrus Park, you may want to know what the people who have already gone to this Tampa emergency room think.
Lilys Mom⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedBest ER Ive ever been to. I have been here several times for myself and been very satisfied. Today, I went with my 5 year old daughter to the pediatric side. She was treated so nice and all of the staff made sure that she was comfortable and not scared. The nurse was excellent and Dr. Christian was very sweet with her. I will definitely bring her back with any emergencies. No wait time, friendly and knowledgeable staff.Sarah SpitaleI can not express how bad this place is. No real doctors in sight. What a joke. I had to go to a real hospital right after a visit here. They missed several symptoms with my case. Just go somewhere else and get the care you deserve.Emarie Mitchell⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy daughter has swollen lymph nodes and a mild fever after taking her to urgent care and the Dr just saying it’s was respiratory infection I went to the ER for a second option, First time at this ER best one I’ve been too usually we go to St Joes, this one is closer to my home. The staff was super friendly, was seen pretty quickly. Would recommend for future visits.Kristi SuárezIf I could give them no stars I absolutely would. Dr. Solomon is absolutely by far the worst physician I’ve ever encountered in my entire life and medical career. Do not waste your time find someplace else to go!Grace Pipkins⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ve only been here two or three times, but overall they’ve been generally a good experience. I only am giving four stars because even when they bring me back to an exam room I have to wait a while to get any treatment. But the place is clean and the staff have always been friendly.Navakanth PedaballiVery Bad Place. Please stay away from this place. Flee from this place. They Charged us 2800$ for 2 flu tablets and 1 hour stay in room …on top of this 900$ separate doctor fee for 5 mins of doctor visiting our room …i have asked them upfront whether my insurance covers all of it….they mentioned yes. But i have got 2 separate bills .Come on guys 3700$ for 2 tablets and one hour stay..oh my god…this place is fraud ..very big fraud….never ever visit this place again..Beverly J. SmithFront desk staff and security were very nice. Dr Solomon was horrible, he’s a philosopher giving every reason he thinks you’re not sick, has no respect for other Drs, he thinks he is the ONLY one who knows medicine and guess what he was WRONG in ALL of his assessments. This could have been serious for people who didn’t know what was going on. Dr Solomon be careful you never know who you are talking to. Citrus Park ER this could cause you a serious law suit…Kyle Barone⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI’m writing this purposely before I receive any bill, since the bill will likely be a lot, and taint my view of the whole experience. Because the bottom line is that that was the best ER / Hospital experience I’ve ever had. My wife tried all night and half the day to get me to go in, but once we did it was great. No waiting at all – literally didn’t sit down. After I got called back, there was nurse and a doctor into see me almost instantly. Everyone was pleasant, professional, and personable. I’m a terrible patient. I don’t mean to be but I’m a huge baby with all things hospital related. Putting the IV in, I squirm, doing the CT scan I get nervous. But they were all very cool with me, and did their thing quickly. They gave me an Ativan to calm me which helped. Ran their tests and came back to me with info about what I have going on. Gave me some meds and told me to go back to see him (Dr. Shedlock) if things get worse overnight. And some referrals to get the underlying issue under control. All in all, it was barely 3 hours and none of that was waiting. I would not hesitate to go there again. Hopefully the bill isn’t brutal. But it is what it is. It’s no more the doctors faults than mine. It’s just the system we live in.John KiferI am writing this review solely on pricing that is charged for a visit, the experience with the staff was good but misleading because the admissions rep said that we owed the co pay for our visit and we should be good. I understand that an emergency room is different than an urgent care or doctors office but to charge $4700.00 with so called insurance pricing discounts is unethical. HCA/Medical Center of Trinity should be ashamed of themselves to charge that much for one doctors visit and an xray which took less than 45 minutes. Also I see other reviews were told to call the billing office. They are no help and refuse to help. Basically they said sorry but there is nothing we can do. SO DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS IT IS A TRUE EMERGENCY because it really will cost you a lot of money. They need to be more transparent with their pricing.Rick BeardsleyMy wife went in alone and was caught up in their scam. She had a simple ear clogged and they kept her in a room for 2 hours + . She tried to give her Medicare insurance card to the them and was told they don’t accept insurance from Hillsborough county ( it’s located in Hillsborough county)…Janice JewettI was very very disappointed with the patient care at this ER. The Doctor and the nurse were very unprofessional. The Doctor did not provide me with any information regarding my sickness. I will not visit this facility again. I understand why they have a 2.9 rating.Polliana GallardoTwo times I’ve been there they are very to get you out of there with out doing much and charging you to the max. I had to demand treatment for a wasp sting near my eye. They just wanted to send me home without doing anything. I demanded a cortisone shot which they said wouldn’t work, it did and my swelling was down by the next day. The doctor stormed off like baby when I said I wanted treatment what a jokeHeather OgleThey should be reported. Worst experience. DO NOT GO TO THIS ER!! I went last month and was seen for maybe 30 minutes for a bladder infection and they are charging $5000!!! All they did was take a urine test and write me a prescription. No IV or anything additional and somehow that’s $5000!!! I tried calling the billing department and the unprofessional excuse for customer service just told me that’s the cost and nothing could be done. It’s a complete scam and they should be reported for what they are doing there. If I could give 0 stars I would. So furious!!!!Jeff ZyonseDO NOT GO TO CITRUS PARK ER!!!! We took my 14 year old daughter in for a stomach ache. Spent roughly an hour at their ER and they billed UnitedHealthcare $3,656 – of which we owe 1/3. Unbelievable the unethical behavior of this facility of which many friends and neighbors in Waterchase were thrilled to see open. Like other reviews, I called their billing department and they gave me the old “it is what it is” answer. Again STEER CLEAR OF CITRUS PARK ER!!!!!!Michelle Carlin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis place was clean and the staff is professional. I could’ve gotten great care elsewhere, however it’s the personal touch that makes me so happy with my visit. The doctor was kind and professional, but Miss Bobby, the nurse made me as comfortable as possible. I’m greatful for the staff.Austin TAll I can say is this place is the biggest scam I got a bill for $800 3 years later…. when I paid the copay the day of… why does this place have to rip people off and cost them tons of money for a 5 second consultation? Extremely disappointed now I’m stuck with a collections on my credit for not receiving a bill I really wish I could sue this place for failure to tell the patient that the physicians is not in network before they start treatment… all this place does is aim for people’s wallets.Dany Menendez⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is the best ER you could possibly go any where near this town! Im not ever going to any other hospitals ER or clinic at all. Citrus Park ER has the most attentive and fastest staff ever! The wait time is usually less than 4 minutes and they get the job done quick and efficient! Absolutely happy with their serviceFaith marie⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI went into the ER and Dr.Solomon and the nurses did a great job!Mickey DiezThis is the WORST ER my wife and I have ever gone to. My wife went in with minor swelling in her left nostril. The on site physician took a brief look in her nostril (just using a nasal scope), incorrectly diagnosed her with sinusitis (although my wife made it clear she has no previous history of sinus issues or allergies) was prescribed a steroid and encouraged to visit an ENT because as the doctor stated, he was unsure if this was the proper diagnosis. Later that day, we visited an ENT who told us none of her symptoms were indicative of sinusitis and prescribed her an antibiotic cream, which within one week cleared the symptoms. A few months later, we received a $1700 dollar bill in the mail from this ER. Mind baffled, we called the billing department for clarification on the bill and we were informed that per their protocol, there is a standard $1500 room fee, JUST TO SIT IN THERE ROOM for 15 minutes. One month later we received a separate $208 bill from the doctor who inaccurately diagnosed my wife. This facility and company are thieves, it is pathetic and disheartening to think that this is what the medical industry is resorting to. Needless to stay, I do not recommend this ER and sad to say they are in our neighborhood.andris CrisostomoWorst place ever been here for 2 hours and Not nurse or doctor come by and checks on the patients the excuse is they only got one doctor Very quick to take your payment the rest is history ❗️‼️Hailey GoodrichThe medical service we received here was fine even though they were unprepared to help us with out infant (they are not a pediatric ER so that was our fault) but their billing department and follow up are atrocious. I provided my insurance information at the time of service, and was then billed the full amount for “lack of insurance information”. I called and gave them my information again. Still they did not process my claim through insurance and sent my bill to a collections agency. When I called to find I out what happened they informed me that they could not speak to me on the matter as it was no longer in their system. After working through my insurance and finding out that they were an in network provider and required to submit payment through the company, they still did not do the right thing and bill directly to my insurance but left my claim with the collections agency. So almost a year later I am still dealing with this billing situation. This company mishandled my billing on three separate occasions and told me they could not help me. If you can, avoid them and seek service elsewhere!Meghann ThackerThis place is a joke. Dr. Abukhalil maybe spent 2 minutes examining my ankle and it$0027s not like they were busy. And if you need additional help and call the office back, as advised on discharge instructions, if Lisa picks up the phone she is going to be rude, argumentative, and completely unhelpful! Save yourself the time and aggravation– GO TO A REAL HOSPITAL E.R.Double N RanchNEVER go to CITRUS PARK ER if you can at all help it. Very late in the evening my son got a fish hook in his finger and all walk in clinics were closed. Since I have United Healthcare and was assured upon arrival by their staff, they were in fact in the United Healthcare network, I would only have to pay the co-pay. My wife also checked and confirmed they were in fact on our insurance. After they offered a 20% discount to pay the co-pay in full, I figured there might be an issue and there certainly was, to the tune of almost a $1100 bill a month later. The total bill for a novicane shot and band aid is now totaling nearly $2600, and according to United Healthcare, using the same billing code(s) for the same exact treatment at St. Joe$0027s would have been under $1000!!! UHC will only cover a $1000. As it was explained to me by my insurance, their biling rate for those specific billing codes is much higher than St. Joeseph$0027s HOSPITAL, which is a real ER. I originally posted a negative review on the MEDICAL CENTER OF TRINTY page, since that is where you will eventually receive a bill from. After I ended up paying that bill, a representative responded to the post by instructing me to contact their “director” of billing. Well, I really didn$0027t have more time to sit on hold with them, just to be told that is the way is, so I just let it go. ……….fast forward THREE months later, I received ANOTHER nearly $300 bill from “TORBERT EMERGENCY PHYS, LLC” for their services!! So I called and requested to speak with their director and the best I got was billing supervisor “Jennifer,” after over 20 mins on hold. Her answer was, they couldn$0027t do anything about it because I paid their ER bill already and the account was closed. They had no control over the bill from the ER doctor. She couldn$0027t even tell me if I was going to eventually get a THIRD bill at some point. Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable!!! What a shame. I will absolutely update if I can get this resolved. As of this moment, RUN AWAY from Citrus Park ER AND THE MEDICAL CENTER OF TRINITY.Diana Castro⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI been here many occasions, for myself and my kids and I never been disappointed, within minutes We been seen by a physician, today I was seen by Dr. Mathew Cotton and he was super caring sweet, compassionate and understanding about my situation! I do work for another Bay Area hospital but I much rather come here because of the fast service and nice staff, I fully recommend it!Sharon SecretanHorribly overpriced. Do not go here. Our insurance was billed over $3K for stitching up a leg. We had to pay about $1,200 of that ourselves. There are a couple other ER$0027s opening on Sheldon. Choose one of them.Kyoko Masuoka⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy parents had to go to the Citrus Park ER during a very stressful time. I was in the hospital after a bad accident and they were in town to see me. My mom had a bad fall and needed to be seen. I told them to go to the Citrus Park ER because I knew she would be well cared for. All the staff was amazing. The doctor took the time to listen and the nurses were caring and attentive. It felt good knowing I didn$0027t have to worry about them. I was already stressed enough. My parents still rave about their visit and say it was the best ER experience they$0027ve ever had.Allison Craig⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI cannot say enough good things about our experience here on Saturday night. We came in to a super busy ER on a Saturday night with a baby who was up way past her bedtime because a cut on her eyebrow. We were kept informed and checked on. Dr. Solomon checked on her to make sure she was okay and let us know that it would be a bit but that he would glue her up. I$0027m an RN with a background in urgent care and the experience was amazing. It$0027s not easy to glue up a tired and cranky toddler but you guys did an amazing job making our family feel comfortable. You$0027re doing ER right.Jobe 5623⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI took my 3 year old son for stitches. The nurse Crystal was amazing and stayed with him holding numbing medicine for 20 minutes. Dr. Christian did a fantastic job with the sutures as well as being reassuring and keeping my son calm. A great experience on all aspects.Meria Cloud⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedI have been a patient at citrus park er 3 times now, I have chronic breathing problems. All 3 times were a wonderful visit, all things considered. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful from in to out. Tonight$0027s visit I was graced with the care of nurse Jason and would like his boss to know that, you picked a true winner in the employ of this man and should definitely keep him around. Nobody enjoys a visit to the Dr or ER yet Mr.Jason made the visit quick as well as calming, thank u so much for that! And special thanks for weighing me in kg ! Sincerely M. CloudGene Stuckey⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedEvery thing went very well !Erika SmithDO NOT GO HERE! Save your time and money! This is a clinic part of TRINITY HOSPITAL, this so called ER is very close to my home therefore I have had several experiences with different family members that needed care for various ailments. EVERYTIME EACH ONE WENT ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THEY WERE ALL TOLD THE SAME EXACT THING. “VIRAL NO ANTIBIOTICS NEEDED” next day my father became more ill and has a serious medical condition, he had to go to a REAL ER and he was diagnosed with bronchitis, prescribed steroids to help breath, breathing treatments every 4 hours ANTIBIOTICS AND prescriptions to help feel better until he was no longer with a flare up. My father could have ended up with pneumonia if had not gone next day to ER. Pneumonia for my father could be fatal in his stages of COPD. This is ONLY ONE OF MANY DISAPPOINTING AND INCORRECT DIAGNOSES.Michelle M. CookDo NOT go to this ER for anything. If the was a no star or half star option I would have selected that. Starting with the positive…the place was clean, I got in very quickly at 1 am Tuesday, June 18. The nurse (I$0027m assuming she was the nurse she never introduced herself) was very friendly, and the gentleman that comes to get your insurance info and payment was nice. BUT Dr. Michael Christian is a joke. I went in there due to a severe wasp or yellow jacket sting that had happened at 7 am Monday morning. By 1 am it was hot, spreading, incredibly red and itching horribly. Dr. Christian breezed into the room. Literally breezed in. No hello, nothing. Took some hand sanitizer into his hands instead of washing them, which we all know is better than hand sanitizer. Walked up to me, did not say a word, lifted my right arm, felt the spot for heat, said “I don$0027t think its infected.” Then walked out. He was in the room a total of 4 seconds. Never asked my name, never introduced himself, I only know his because it$0027s on the paperwork. Then they give me 3 prednisone pills (which I despise) and 2 Pepcid pills (yes Pepcid the heartburn medicine) despite not having any stomach issues from this bite. Apparently it can also be used as an antihistamine. Which I found to be odd and interesting. Because no one at the ER one bothered to explain how and why. I had to Google that when I got home. Additionally, they gave me these BEFORE even asking me what medications I$0027m currently taking. Which interestingly I am already taking a medicine for heartburn. What medical staff doesn$0027t ask that vital info first? Then they sent me on my way with a prescription for Benadryl (thanks Captain Obvious) which I had already been taking all day and can be bought over the counter, Pepcid (again still not sure about this one) and can also be bought OTC and prednisone. He never came back and discussed any of it. Any of the meds, interactions with any of my current meds, when to take them, etc. Four seconds is all I saw of the man. They never even attempted to give me anything to immediately soothe the horrible pain of the itchiness, even though I asked for something. I woke up again at 4am the spot was even larger and the redness had spread. I will say this now and will stick to my words. I will NOT be paying that bill, which I$0027m sure will be over priced for 4 seconds of the almighty doctor$0027s time and 5 pills, 2 of which were the Pepcid I already had at home that seemed to do absolutely nothing for me. My insurance can pay their part. But I will be reporting this clinic to my insurance as well. This “ER” will never have my business again or get any additional money from me aside from the “deposit” they so eloquently asked for last night while I was siting there in pain. When I asked how much it was going to be the guy simply said, “Oh I don$0027t know yet.” What a scam. I will try to call the administrator again today. But I$0027ve already been told he was in a meeting. So I$0027m sure there will be a lot of run around with my calls. I went there looking for help, understanding and relief and now this doctor just made my ailment and my anxiety, which was already on high alert, way worse. I am still in terrible pain today. Now I have to go to my actual GP today to get it looked at again and get some real medical knowledge and assistance and pay more money. STAY AWAY. Go to the hospital instead.Al⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy brought my wife here on a physicians recommendations, and now I$0027m recommending it, the staff and doctor here are efficient, courteous, and caring.Rampses ViracachaPhysician needs to work on his bedside manner. He walked in without introducing himself, did not explain my mother’s diagnosis nor did he give her any recommendations. He simply walked out! I had to ask the nurse, who was very nice, for what she recommends my mom to do. This is not the type of treatment patients should be receiving.Kimberly Moore⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSo I had a really good experience here. Over the Thanksgiving break I started having extremely sharp, stabbing chest pains. I first went to Fast Track Urgent Care and they suggested I go straight to the ER due to what they thought was an abnormal EKG and recent long travel. Citrus Park ER was literally steps from Fast Track so I went there. I was seen immediately since I mentioned chest pain. They also were not busy. Everyone was very professional and nice to me even though I was really nervous and the tourniquet was really painful on my arm. Jay the RN who drew my blood was very professional and patient with me. All the staff and Dr. Daniel S. I interacted with were polite, professional, understanding and very thorough. I feel they did a good job of taking all the necessary steps to rule out something more serious than what it turned out to be (I was diagnosed with pneumonia/pleurisy). I would return here for my emergency care needs.Kristy Starcevic⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedVery fast, very courteous. Great staff all aroundVonda Sweet⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSusan, RN and Dr Christian ……wow! Thank you for your kind, caring presence! A beacon of light, can’t express my gratitude…..thank you! Staff was extremely pleasant, facility immaculate, no wait time. First experience excellent!Jim Underwood⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedHaving rib or lung pain with every breath while visiting family in Tampa this past October, I waited until the morning before being brought to Citrus Park ER. I was greeted and taken in right away and had nothing but the best of care for the next hour. I had several test and a clear diagnosis of intercostal rib pain. I was in and out in little over an hour on a weekend morning. At home on Long Island, this same visit would have taken 6-8 hours. I have nothing but the best to say about Citrus Park ER. Medical care as it should be.Juan Gonzalez⭐️⭐️8/8/18 Update: Soon after posting this review I had a few folks reach out to me to see how they could assist me with the issues that I am having. Definitely have to admit that this is a fantastic move forward, however I am going to wait until my issue is resolved before they receive anything more than two stars. Although I appreciate that they want to correct their wrong it is unfortunate that I had to go through this headache in the first place. Will keep this review updated accordingly to any further developments. Original Post: Visited this medical center nearly 10 months ago after an auto accident and I can assure you for and “emergency” center it demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and urgency. The doctor appeared after I had to wait for the over an hour, it is unfortunate that their lack of urgency and attention was so poor as at least the nurses were kind in their servicing. However here is where the tremendous amount of frustration, I am still receiving bills from them for ridiculous amounts of money. I have provided them more than 4 times my insurance information and they continue to badger me with exorbitant bills. Now I am in the middle of collecting documentation pertinent to indicating that my auto insurance has been exhausted and that my health insurer is to cover the remainder. Absolutely asinine that I have to do their job, I work full time and hardly have time to take off and do their job. And even less have the capacity to pay them with how little I earn. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, YOU$0027RE BETTER OFF WALKING OFF YOUR INJURY.cheryl wildasin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy husband and I have visited this facility on 3 occasions and on each one been very satisfied. I am in the medical field and therefore more critical than the average patient. We have found everyone friendly, efficient and caring. I recommend this facility to everyone.Michael Stiller⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedMy fiance was seen here last week. The care was incredible all the way around. She was immediately taken to a room and set up for an exam and assessment. Her physician, Dr. Foster was amazing. He took the time to listen to her and explain everything in his plan with reasons why. She and I felt like we were participating in the decisions for her care because of how great he was with us. Her nurse Charlie was extraordinary. She explained everything going on with my fiance and was very gentle with her throughout this stressful time. Beth, the charge nurse checked in frequently with us and explained the process regarding her transferring to the hospital from the ER, as she needed to be admitted to ICU. She gave us frequent updates and kept us in the loop the entire time. This team was stellar in their care, their timeliness and their ability to keep us informed through every step involved in the care of my fiance. I am very thankful to the team who cared for her there.Leila Adderton⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedSo convenient to have a fully functioning, free standing ER close to home. We were attended to almost immediately by a very competent and compassionate staff. The facility is spotless and has all the necessary diagnostic tools at their disposal. Would highly recommend it.Laura Aponte⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedFast service and friendly staff! Slushies are a great plus for the kids!Mario CarelaI wish I could give them 0 stars do not go here they are charging 1345 dollars just to check my blood pressure you have to be kidding me.Sylvia Lynn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedGoing to the ER is a frightening experience. Fortunately, I was greeted and quickly seen by the medical staff here. They were great at explaining everything they were doing and why. The staff and MD were all very nice, which was such a relief, as I was not at all well. Not only were they gentle with me, but they treated my family with such respect and kindness. I had to be transferred to the ICU at a local hospital and they explained everything to me and my family which helped put us to ease that despite my condition, I was receiving the best care possible. I hope not to be in this situation again, but if I was, I would go back to this ER.Jessica Sandoe⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedThis is a very comfortable hospital visit. I had visited an Urgent Care before and didn$0027t received any relief. At the Citrus Park ER they calmed my symptoms and diagnosed me properly. I met 3 nurses, a doctor and a CT scan technician. All were friendly and attentive. I started feeling better after a few hours but needed to have emergency surgery to remove my appendix. They ordered me an ambulance (which they paid for) to the affiliated hospital of Medical Center of Trinity which I had surgery upon immediate arrival. They also have a 20% discount if you pay during your visit so it was very affordable especially considering the level of care received. I HIGHLY recommend this ER over any urgent care.ELLEN M. SCHNUR⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedNo wait time. Staff was friendly and informed me of what was happening. Dr. was caring and also told me what was happening with my treatment. I would definitely recommend this facility.Nel G-manTook my 2 month old son to hospital and Dr. Dennis Solomon said he didn$0027t have pink because it wasn$0027t pink I told him my daughter was just diagnosed with pink eye on Sunday and I know he has it because of all the boogers in eye so this morning of he woke up with he$0027s eye shut! On my way to another hospital to get eye drops dr. Dennis Solomon was interrupting me while talking to him very bad DR.Beloved Dream⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅ ER RecommendedJust walked out and i have to make this review cause i never been so
